چکیده

In South Africa canola (Brassica napus L.) is cultivated in rotation with wheat under winter rainfall the Western Cape Province, primarily for seed to make oil. Expansion of crop other 8 provinces proposed reduce shortages locally produced plant oils. At same time, can serve as a rotational these summer provinces. central Free State, information on evapotranspiration and various water use indicators influenced by sustained deficit irrigation density lacking. An experiment line source sprinkler system was therefore conducted, comprising full control 4 levels (mean reduction depth per event 67%, 52%, 34% 19%) 5 densities (25, 50, 75, 100 125 plants‧m−2). Mean seasonal maximum amounted 429 mm across densities. Plant did not significantly influence evapotranspiration. Reducing more than 20% decreased mean 3.5 percentage increase depth. A biomass productivity 22 kg‧ha−1‧mm−1 measured 75 plants‧m−2. Seed high 11 25 above plants‧m−2 will 0.071 0.033 kg‧ha−1‧mm−1, respectively. Sustained increased efficiency 0.5% event.

Responses of agronomic components of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) as influenced by deficit irrigation, water salinity and planting method

Shortage and salinity of irrigation water are two major constraints that influence rapeseed production in arid and semi-arid regions of central and southern Iran. In this study, effects of deficit irrigation with different salinity levels and planting methods (in-furrow and on-ridge) as strategies for coping with water and salinity stresses on yield and yield quality of rapeseed were invest...

Seed viability, germination and seedling growth of canola (Brassica napus L.) as influenced by chemical mutagens

Mutation induction is considered as an effective way to enrich plant genetic variation, particularly for traits with a very low level of genetic variation. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effect of different dosages of chemical mutagens on seed germination, seed viability and seedling growth characteristics and to identify optimum treatment conditions for chemical mutagens bas...

Flower formation and pod/flower ratio in canola (Brassica napus L.) affected by assimilates supply around flowering

An alternative means by which to examine the importance of assimilates supply to flower and pod formation is to analyze the relationships of leaf area index (LAI), above-ground dry matter (ADM), leaf area duration (LAD) and crop growth rate (CGR) around flowering with flower number and pod/flower ratio. For this objective, an experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station of Gonbad, ...

Growth and physiologic response of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) to deficit irrigation, water salinity and planting method

Salinity and water stress reduces the ability of plant to take up water and decrease growth rate, photosynthesis rate (An) and stomatal conductance (gs) of plants. In this study, effects of deficit irrigation with different salinity levels and planting method (in-furrow and on-ridge) as strategies for coping with water and salinity stress on physiologic properties of rapeseed was investigat...
